  • Evidence- and eminence-based knowledge on Dual Career Measures
    (M1-M12)

For the eminence-based knowledge, a survey, using a validated questionnaire (ESTPORT, Sanchez-Pato et. al, 2016) will be conducted in Europe, in order to evaluate the dual career program existence, according to the guidelines, and their level of implementation. Each partner will translate in their own languages and provide a purposeful recruitment of participants. Standard operating procedures, methodologies for data collection and synthesis will be defined by WP leaders and discussed during the first transnational meeting. Each country will prepare a report to share with other partners and all partners will prepare a publication. Performance indicators: At least 50 surveys and survey results from at least 5 different countries.
  • Find-me platform design, deployment and validation (M1-M32)

Is concerned with the Find Me online platform design, population, implementation and deployment and maintenance. The Platform will be designed to become the integrated entry point to Dual Career programs across Europe (i.e., Italy, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, and Spain) exploiting the requirements and recommendations specified by the European guidelines on dual career. On the one hand, from an informative point of view, the Portal will provide a unified view on the dual career offer from different educational institutions, supporting the students-athletes to find the proper information to choose a program that meets their sport and academic needs. Finally, it allows the participating Universities and Institutions to promote their dual career programmes at international level, stimulating other Universities to adopt a dual career programme and enhance their visibility.
  • Develop an online evaluation of DC programmes according to the student-sportspersons feedbacks (M13 - M28)

The co-leaders of this workpackage are FSFV, UdA, IULR, and EAS. FSFV will take an active role in coordination of the activities in this work package that will cover the 12 months of the project. The main objective of this WP is to evaluate the opinions and attitudes of dual career students as well as high-performance athletes towards educational programmes, dual career oportunities and curriculums for sportpersons, what kind of support they are receiveing and what would be necessary to develop and improve Dual Career programmes at the national level within the project. Therefore, the survey will be conducted applying the questionnaire, semi-structured interviews and focus-group discussion as data collection methods. The questionnaire as a data collection tool will be used in all the six Consortium partner countries (Serbia, Slovenia, Romania, Italy, Spain and Norway). The key issues addressed will be related to the models of support provision within the dual career perspective, as well as identified needs of the athletes related to the dual career implementation. Other objectives set within the project framework is to identify the main challenges related to the necessity to combine highperformance sport and enrollment in the higher education study process. In addition, it was also crucial to find out what conditions would be necessary to promote dual-career management and what are advantages and disadvantages of existing DC programmes at the universities and faculties in project members countries. The quantitative and qualitative study framework chosen as the research approach will allow to obtain the data necessary for the research purpose and relevant for the exploration of the issue in question (Манегйм & Рич, 1997; Kroplijs & Raščevska, 2004; Geske & Grīnfelds, 2006; Kristapsone, 2008). Results of the evaluation process will be presented in international EAS conference. Each partner will present the situation from their country perspective to the activity leader who will prepare the draft of a common scientific manuscript.
  • Dissemination, communication and networking (M1-M36)

To establish and implement an effective dissemination strategy that ensures project results and outputs are communicated to a range of stakeholders by: Developing a comprehensive communication plan that outlines the different target groups, communication channels, and dissemination products to be used during the project. Working closely with partners in all work-packages to ensure that all initiatives, events, results, and products are communicated effectively to all relevant stakeholders. Providing the consortium with the necessary tools and resources to develop an efficient and sustainable dissemination strategy.
